Discover Northern Tanzania: A 6-Day Safari Experience
Join Kili Roam Adventures on a thrilling 6-day safari exploring four of Northern Tanzania’s most iconic national parks. This journey will take you deep into the legendary Serengeti, the awe-inspiring Ngorongoro Crater, the elephant-rich Tarangire National Park, and the bird-filled shores of Lake Manyara.
Throughout the trip, you’ll encounter a breathtaking variety of landscapes—from the vast open plains of the Serengeti, teeming with wildlife, to the ancient baobab forests and river systems of Tarangire. At Lake Manyara, you’ll witness flocks of flamingos and tree-climbing lions along the shimmering soda lake. Finally, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where an extraordinary density of animals, including all members of the Big Five, awaits you.
Travel comfortably in a private 4×4 safari vehicle with a knowledgeable local guide. Your dedicated team will take care of all the details, allowing you to focus fully on the unforgettable wildlife encounters and the beauty of the African wilderness.
Itinerary
We have carefully planned out each day to give you the best possible experience. From exploring historic landmarks to tasting delicious local cuisine, each day is packed with adventure and excitement. Join us as we take you on a journey through some of the most fascinating destinations in the world.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), a representative from Kili Roam Adventures will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi.
If you arrive a day before your safari, you will have time to relax after your journey and prepare for the adventure ahead. In the evening or at a scheduled time, your safari guide will meet you for a pre-safari briefing. This is the perfect opportunity to go over your itinerary, discuss what to expect during the trip, and ensure you have all the necessary items for your safari.
We recommend planning to arrive at least one day prior to the start of your safari to allow for rest and any unforeseen travel delays.
After a short morning briefing, begin your journey to Tarangire National Park, known for its vast savannah dotted with ancient baobab trees and seasonal swamps. The park is home to the largest elephant herds in northern Tanzania and an abundance of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and lions. Enjoy your first thrilling game drive as you explore the diverse landscapes from the open roof of your safari vehicle. Later, continue to your lodge near Lake Burunge for a relaxing evening surrounded by nature.

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a hidden gem known for its tree-climbing lions and over 400 bird species. The park’s landscapes range from lush groundwater forests to open plains and the sparkling alkaline lake. Watch for elephants strolling beneath giant fig trees and flamingos wading in the shallows. In the afternoon, continue to Mto wa Mbu village for an evening of relaxation and cultural charm.

Today, journey through the lush highlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at a scenic viewpoint for breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Crater before descending into the legendary Serengeti plains. Known as “the land of endless plains,” Serengeti is home to millions of animals, including migrating wildebeests and zebras. Bizarre granite kopjes rise from the grasslands, often providing shade for lions and leopards. Arrive at your campsite in the Seronera Valley in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight stay under the star-filled African sky.

Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti, one of the most iconic safari destinations in the world. Follow your expert guide through the park in search of big cats, elephants, buffaloes, and countless other species. Depending on the season, you may witness the dramatic Great Migration, as wildebeests and zebras journey across the plains in search of greener pastures. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the wild sounds of Africa before returning to your campsite at sunset.

Set up camp on the crater’s rim, enjoying the sweeping views as the sun sets over the African horizon.

Enjoy your final game drive and a picnic lunch on the crater floor before ascending the rim and returning to Arusha in the evening, marking the end of your unforgettable safari adventure.
