Experience the wonders of Tanzania on a 5-day Big 5 safari that takes you through Lake Manyara National Park, the Ngorongoro Crater, and the southern reaches of the Serengeti. Depending on the time of year, you’ll witness thousands of wildebeests and zebras on their annual migration.
Begin your journey at Lake Manyara, where flamingos and a variety of waterbirds gather along the lakeshore. Continue to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s top wildlife destinations, known for its incredible density of animals including the Big Five. Then explore the Serengeti, famous for its sweeping savannahs and rich wildlife.
Your adventure will be in a 4×4 safari vehicle, led by a professional local guide. Kili Roam Adventures handles all logistics, accommodations, and park arrangements so you can relax and enjoy an unforgettable safari experience.

We have carefully planned out each day to give you the best possible experience. From exploring historic landmarks to tasting delicious local cuisine, each day is packed with adventure and excitement. Join us as we take you on a journey through some of the most fascinating destinations in the world.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), a representative from Kili Roam Adventures will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi.
If you arrive a day before your safari, you will have time to relax after your journey and prepare for the adventure ahead. In the evening or at a scheduled time, your safari guide will meet you for a pre-safari briefing. This is the perfect opportunity to go over your itinerary, discuss what to expect during the trip, and ensure you have all the necessary items for your safari.
We recommend planning to arrive at least one day prior to the start of your safari to allow for rest and any unforeseen travel delays.
In the morning, depart from Arusha and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. This compact yet diverse park offers a stunning introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife. Its landscape transitions from lush groundwater forests to open plains and the shimmering alkaline lake that hosts flocks of flamingos. Spot elephants, giraffes, hippos, wildebeests, impalas, and playful monkeys in the trees above. After your game drive, head to Mto wa Mbu for an evening of relaxation at the campsite.

After breakfast, travel through the scenic highlands of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before descending onto the vast Serengeti plains. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the crater highlands and the sweeping savannah below. The Serengeti’s landscapes are dotted with acacia trees and rocky outcrops (kopjes), providing the perfect setting for spotting lions, cheetahs, and other wildlife. Depending on the season, you might witness the Great Migration — a spectacular movement of thousands of wildebeests and zebras across the plains.

Spend the entire day exploring the Serengeti, one of Africa’s greatest wildlife habitats. Your experienced guide will take you to areas where the animal activity is most exciting — from prides of lions on the hunt to leopards resting on acacia branches. Depending on the season, you may witness the thundering herds of the Great Migration as they move across the plains. With picnic lunch in the bush, this day offers unforgettable safari moments surrounded by raw African beauty.

After breakfast, enjoy one last morning game drive in the Serengeti, where you might encounter animals you haven’t seen yet. After a picnic lunch, journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On arrival at the crater rim, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera. Spend the night at a campsite perched on the crater’s edge, enjoying a magical sunset over the crater.

Rise early and descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full morning of game viewing. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the best places in Africa to spot the Big Five — lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and the endangered black rhino. The crater’s varied habitats — from forest and grassland to marsh and lake — attract a dense concentration of wildlife, including zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and countless bird species. After a picnic lunch on the crater floor, ascend the rim and return to Arusha by early evening.
