Itinerary
We have carefully planned out each day to give you the best possible experience. From exploring historic landmarks to tasting delicious local cuisine, each day is packed with adventure and excitement. Join us as we take you on a journey through some of the most fascinating destinations in the world.
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), a representative from Kili Roam Adventures will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha or Moshi.
If you arrive a day before your safari, you will have time to relax after your journey and prepare for the adventure ahead. In the evening or at a scheduled time, your safari guide will meet you for a pre-safari briefing. This is the perfect opportunity to go over your itinerary, discuss what to expect during the trip, and ensure you have all the necessary items for your safari.
We recommend planning to arrive at least one day prior to the start of your safari to allow for rest and any unforeseen travel delays.
After a short morning briefing, depart for Tarangire National Park, a scenic drive through the Maasai steppe and small rural villages. Known for its vast savannah dotted with majestic baobab trees, Tarangire is home to one of the largest elephant populations in northern Tanzania.
As your guide opens the pop-up roof, the game viewing begins. You’ll have the chance to spot lions, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, and various species of antelopes and gazelles. The Tarangire River, the park’s lifeline, attracts a variety of wildlife—making it an excellent location for photography and observation.
Lunch will be served at a designated picnic site within the park, followed by more wildlife exploration in the afternoon. By late afternoon, you’ll exit the park and head to Lake Burunge Tented Lodge, located just outside the park boundaries, where you’ll relax and enjoy a serene evening.
Highlights:
- Elephant herds and baobab-dotted landscapes
- Scenic picnic lunch inside the park
- Excellent birdwatching opportunities

After breakfast, your journey continues toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park. You’ll pass through the Great Rift Valley, and the towns of Mto wa Mbu and Karatu, climbing into the cool highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. A brief stop at a scenic viewpoint offers breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Crater before you descend the rugged trail—often humorously called the “African massage.”
As you travel past traditional Maasai villages, you’ll enter the Serengeti via Naabi Hill Gate, where you can stretch your legs and enjoy panoramic views of the endless plains. Enjoy a packed lunch before continuing toward the Seronera area, known for its year-round abundance of wildlife.
By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at Kati Kati Tented Camp, where you’ll spend the night surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness under a sky full of stars.

Even outside of migration season, the Serengeti offers superb game viewing. Expect to encounter elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, hippos, and an array of predators. Your expert guide will ensure you’re at the right place at the right time for the best sightings and photo opportunities.
After a thrilling day, return to your camp for a warm dinner and another night in the wild.

Continuing your journey, enjoy a picnic lunch before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater for a short game drive. The crater floor is a wildlife haven with over 25,000 animals, including elephants, rhinos, hippos, and abundant birdlife.
